Bruges Delphinarium sent 3 captive-born dolphins
to a petting pool in Portugal

Cuban dolphins in Zoomarine Park.
According to the testimony and the pictures of Jean Pierre Von der Becke, member of the Belgian Delphus asociation, it is confirmed that Bruges Delphinarium exported
three
captive-born young dolphins to "Mundo Aquatico Zoomarine", a well known marine park in Albufeira, Portugal.
This Portugese facilty had received the 26th Annual Conference of the International Marine Animal Trainers Association
(IMATA) in November 1998.
Now Zoomarine is still a huge place where to get fun with captive dolphins and other animals, visited by thousands of children and their parents each
year.

Seven young captive-born dolphins are now confined in the local "petting pool
", 3 captive-born from Belgium et 4 dolphins from Cuban
waters.
If you pay 20,000 Escudos, you will be allowed to swim with this Belgian dolphin " surplus " and to touch them, pet them and stroke them during thirty
minutes.
An veterinary surgeon of Bruges dolphinarium is said
to be visiting regularly the young Belgian dolphins in order to check their
health. It's surely usefull, because we know for sure that dolphins do not survive a long time in such "petting pool" conditions.
In another basin of the "Mundo Aquatico Zoomarine", 8 dolphins are performing usual shows : they were caught in the wild, out of the Cuban waters
